Four evening meetings beginning

at 7 –8:30pm in Canon O’Grady Hall, Normanton. With the success of the Deanery Masses last year these talks and discussion are aimed at the Deanery and will be given by Provost Canon Aveyard, PP of Castleford and Fr Mark Naughton PP of Normanton. The first will be on the site, development and recent archaeology of the Holy Sepulchre (the tomb of the Lord) in Jerusalem. Provost Aveyard will lead the second and third sessions on the Eucharist, its development and meaning. Everyone is welcome and there will be refreshments available.
Next meeting is THIS WEDNESDAY 14th October at 11am in the chapel when we will pray with the gospel story of The Feeding of the Five Thousand. Why not join us and enjoy some quiet, reflective time with Jesus?
St Peter & St Paul’s SVP would like to thank all our parish for their supportive interest in our recent displays and lectern awareness appeal. Gregory is kindly allowing us to resume our Weekend After-Mass Collections from late October whenever there is no other special collection. You can help us so much with the increasing needs in our parish and local communities. The SVP wall collection box (just to the left of the main doors as you go out) is also there for donations at any time. Many thanks to you all in our parish. God bless
NDL envelopes are in the narthex for you to include your deceased loved ones and an offering for prayers during November. Feel free to use your own envelope
This year the Holy Day celebration falls on Saturday 31st October and Sunday 1st November. Get your children and teens to dress in WHITE in honour of their Onomastic Saint, Confirmation Saint, or other Patron Saint – And feel free to set them an example!
The programme is open to baptized children in year 6 and above plus those who will be confirmed at Easter as agreed. The plan is to start before Christmas. Details to follow

OVER 60s Next meeting Monday 19th October 2pm - 4pm . Art with Diane Bates, a local Artist. There will be a prize for the most artistic group member! Some of Diane's work will be available to purchase on the day
