Help with planning a funeral

Here at St. Peter and Paul's parish we strive to offer pastoral care to the sick, the dying and those who are bereaved.  The aftermath of the death of a loved one can be a difficult time when those left behind are coping with tremendous depths of sadness whilst at the same time trying to plan the funeral and do justice to all the administrative duties which follow a person's passing.

We have good links with local funeral directors and we work together to ensure that funerals, whether they be a service in church, at the crematorium or graveside, or a full requiem Mass, give hope and comfort to the family and friends  left behind.

The Diocese of Leeds will soon be producing it's own guidelines but, in the meantime, below is a link to the webpages of the Archdiocese of Westminster, which provides help and advice on all aspects of planning and organising a Catholic funeral including suggested readings and prayers.

Please do hesitate to contact Fr Steven Billington on the telephone number below to discuss your needs further.
